Corrections policy
We aim for accurate, testable claims in every guide and comparison. When something is wrong, we fix it.
How to report an error
- Email ethan.brooks@ratpdf.com or use the contact form.
- Include the page URL, the incorrect statement, and a source or test case if available.
- We acknowledge reports within 2 business days and prioritize factual errors affecting tool behavior or pricing.
What happens next
- Verify — The assigned editor re-tests the claim against RatPDF tools or primary sources.
- Update — Corrected text is published to the live page.
- Review date — Material corrections update the "Last reviewed" date on the article byline.
What we correct
- Incorrect free-tier limits, file size caps, or pricing
- Wrong engine behavior (e.g., compression output, OCR accuracy claims)
- Outdated competitor feature tables
- Broken or redirected source links in our references section
We do not typically "correct" subjective opinions (e.g., "best tool for freelancers") unless they contain factual errors.
Proactive review cadence
Guides show a last reviewed date in the author byline. High-traffic guides (compress, merge, PDF to Word, comparisons) are re-checked when product limits or engines change.
